Serving

The Humboldt Alliance Church provides a wide range of opportunities to serve within our church and within our community. Regardless of what gifts and abilities you have or what interests you, we can connect you with an opportunity for you to worship God through your service.

Options

Tithing

As you may be aware, there are different ways to make donations (tithes and offerings) to the Humboldt Alliance Church. For those of you who are not aware of all the options, this page provides you with all the information you will need to make a decision on what best suits your needs when donating.

Offering Plate on Sunday Mornings:

In order for moneys collected during the offering on Sunday mornings (and other special services) to be receipted for charity purposes, they need to be:

■ Placed in an offering envelope with your name on it. Envelopes are available to take home so that you can prepare for your offering ahead of time. Please contact the office about your desire to have a bundle of envelopes. OR; ■ You can place a cheque in the offering place (in an envelope or not) and the offering will be receipted. Please make cheques out to Humboldt Alliance Church.

Donor Numbers:

Donors may request a unique donor number that can be used on the envelopes in place of your name for privacy reasons. To request a donor number simply contact the office.

Unmarked Donations:

Any unmarked cash donations (either in an envelope or not) cannot be receipted for charity purposes. Any undesignated funds will automatically be credited to the General Fund.

eTransfer:

You can email your donation to HAC by registering Humboldt Alliance Church using the email address humboldtalliancefinance@gmail.com with your bank (can be managed with your online banking). Once set up, you simply click on eTransfer through your online or mobile banking and select Humboldt Alliance Church as the contact. We are setup for automatic deposit so no password or security question is required. If you would like the donation to be split into various designated funds, simply include that request in the optional message attached to your e-transfer or contact the office with your instructions. Our Designated Funds

We have several opportunities to give to different "Funds". Some of these are designated to specific projects and others are for more general use for the church. Here are our Designated Funds to which you can direct your donations:

General Fund

Any loose plate collection and cash donated in unmarked envelopes is automatically designated to this fund which takes care of the day-to-day function of our church (utilities, office supplies, janitorial needs, ministry expenses etc.)

Global Advance Fund

All money marked for the GAF Fund is forwarded to our National Office in Toronto and is used to support our 200+ international workers.

Benevolent Fund

All monies marked for this fund are used by Humboldt Alliance Church to help both our Church Family Members and those in the community at large, who find themselves in need of assistance to meet basic needs in an emergency situation.

Other Designated Offerings

The Humboldt Alliance Church is frequently involved in various ministry projects within our community and abroad. These projects are communicated to the congregation through our various channels. All monies marked for one of the designated projects must include the name of the project on the donor envelope. All monies donated without a specified project will be deposited into the church’s general fund.
